Music, Music, Music!

From 12th to 15th November, RHYTHMIC ROOTS will be up and running at The Actor's Studio's new venue in Lot 10. It's been a frenzy of rushing to KLPAC after work in the midst of rush hour, memorizing songs and choreography... but it's been a blast so far, so no complaints.
We've had a 2 week break for Raya, so the madness shall continue next Monday. My last post had some pre-photoshoot pictures for this production. Finally, here are the 'actual' ones... some of them anyways. The rest are all on Facebook. Happy viewing!
Joe Hasham... our beloved Director

Joe mucking around... What's new? :)

Lex... our amazing but torturous Choreographer

The Sopranos!

The Young KL Singers crew

Last weekend, Harish came back from Singapore for a quick visit. So of course we had to meet up for a 'quiet' night out. We started off very nicely and quietly in T-Club with the usual suspects i.e. Raelene, Marcel, Rakesh, Danielle, Susie and Jyanthi. Raelene and Marcel left early because Rae was rather blasted, hehe, as usual.
The rest of us adjourned to TSB for Round 2 - so much for a quiet night! Harish joined us for one drink, then headed off to meet his girlfriend who was in Zouk. 30 minutes later, Harish comes waltzing back into TSB... too lazy to go all the way to KL. Haha, that clown I tell you!
Harish, my boyfriend, me, Susie, Rakesh & Dani @ TSBAs you might know, I'm part of this group called the Young KL Singers. Every year, we hold an internal event called 'Live on Stage'. It's basically a talentime of sort, where we get to know each other informally. It was wicked fun with performances by a potential boy-band, crazy aunties and a boy with blue hair - go figure!
Like I mentioned earlier, The Actor's Studio has a new venue. Last Friday, my colleagues and me decided to go on a little excursion to recce the place for a future British Council event. I was mighty excited since it was my first time on the KL Monorail... whheee!
Us @ Bukit Nanas station
We had lunch @ Bon Ton
food was so-so, but the ambience was horrendous
Met Ian who showed us the new studio, we loved it!
Also checked out YTL's Rooftop restaurant... we loved it too!
One last pitstop before heading back into the office...
Thought of the Day :
Music, because of its specific and far-reaching metaphorical powers,
can name the unnamable and communicate the unknowable.
